Siddaganga seer shifted to Siddaganga hospital in Tumakuru

Tumakuru: Dr Shivakumara Swami, the 111-year-old pontiff of Siddaganga Mutt was shifted to Siddaganga Hospital in Tumakuru on Thursday, January 3 and is being treated for lung infection in the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital as there was the risk of contracting infections in the mutt owing to visitors.
A team of doctors including Dr. Subramanian, senior consultant from Chennai, visited the mutt along with gastroenterologist of BGS Global Hospital, Dr. Ravindra to examined the seer. After examining the seer Dr. Subramanian told reporters that the infection in the lungs had reduced.
Seer’s personal physician Dr. Paramesh said that the infection in the lungs still there. The water accumulated in the lungs is being removed once in two days, he informed.
