Kalaburagi: Former chief minister Siddaramaiah on Friday said that he and KPCC president DK Shivakumar have been summoned by the Congress party high command to discuss issues related to Rajya Sabha and Karnataka Vidhana Sabha elections.
Speaking to reporters at the airport here before leaving for Raichur, Siddaramaiah said that he and Shivakumar will leave for New Delhi on Saturday, May 21. “Discussion will be held on the choice of candidates for the elections,” he said.
Commenting on the controversy surrounding the textbook revision in the state, Siddaramaiah said the removal of the lesson on Bhagat Singh and the inclusion of a speech by RSS founder Keshav Baliram Hedgewar were both wrong. “Who is anti-national, – Is it those who dropped the lesson on martyrs, like Bhagat Singh, or those who put it back. Let them (BJP) tell,” he said.
