Chickmagaluru: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah addressing reporters in Chickmagaluru on Saturday clarified that he did not make any statements on banning of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) but any organizations causing religious conflicts in the state will not be entertained and strict actions will be taken against them under the jury.
Siddaramaiah also told the reporters that the decisions to ban such organizations which threaten the peace between communities are on the union government and not the state government. It is not safe to sit idle and not take action against the increasing communal violence in the state.
He also added that his party is not in a war to win election against any of the BJP’s national president Amit Shah, Prime Minister Narendra Modi or state BJP chief, B S Yeddyurappa but a war of beliefs and principles governing the democracy. He also made a statement saying BJP is more of a communal party and congress is a secular party.
