Bengaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramiah seems to be unaware of the centre’s order on removing of red beacons from vehicles of officials except emergency vehicles like ambulances and fire brigade.
On being questioned about the missing red beacon on his car, Siddaramiah was caught perplexed as to why the beacon was removed from his vehicle. The CM angrily questioned his staff members on the missing beacon. And, when the staff member in hushed tone said there was an order, he said he would talk about it later.
The Union cabinet had decided to prohibit all vehicles, from using the beacon lights from May 1. The decision covered the vehicles of President, Prime Minister, state Chief Ministers and others.
