Mysuru: Reacting to the Twitter spat between Siddaramaiah and HD Kumaraswamy, Minister H D Revanna on Thursday said that Siddaramaiah would have stated that the former chief minister was his well wisher and his tweet ‘Revanna eligible for CM’s post’ might be out of affection towards him.
Speaking to reporters at Holenarasipur here Revanna said that he was a fan of Siddaramaiah who has been his well-wisher for several years.
“I will not react to his opinion. Question of me becoming CM now does not arise as the post is held by Kumaraswamy. There is no question of we brothers fighting for the post. I don’t know in what context he has tweeted this,” stated Revanna.
Responding to a query on the controversy over Prajwal Revanna’s election affidavit, he said, “As per the Election Commission guidelines, once the returning officer accepts the nomination, there is no question of rejecting it. It can be questioned in the court. I am not aware on what basis the Election Commission is acting. I am not worried. A few persons are intentionally creating confusions”.
