A video of senior Congress leader Siddaramaiah performing ‘Veera Kunitha’ – a folk dance form during the Siddarameshwara Jatra at his native has gone viral on social media.
The former Karnataka chief minister enthralled villagers dancing enthusiastically to the beats with the village troop.
The video was shared online by Siddaramaiah’s son Congress MLA from Varuna, Yathindra.

Yatindra informed that the Siddarameshwara Jatra is held once in three years but owing to the temple renovation and the Covid-19 outbreak the fest was not conducted over the last six years.
Siddaramaiah said that if not for his diabetes he would have danced with more vigour. “I might have forgotten the songs but I began dancing automatically to the beats,” he stated.
