Davangere: As the day of ‘Siddaramotsav’ (75th birthday of veteran Congress leader Siddaramaiah) has finally arrived, Siddaramaiah’s lakhs of fans and followers are observed thronging the venue.

As per the reports, around three lakh people had made their way towards S.S. Palace Grounds, in the outskirts of Davangere district. Around one lakh people were already in the venue.

The inflow of crowd was such that there was heavy traffic congestion on NH 4.

At around 7 AM the traffic was lined upto 4 km on NH 4. Later at 9 AM, it stretched to 15 km. Due to, this people attending the programme had to park their vehicles at 4-5 km before the venue and walk towards the stage.

Meanwhile, around 8000 vehicles have been arranged for people attending the programme from several districts of the state.

Although a parking facility has been arranged near the venue, looking at the huge inflow of crowd, alternative arrangements have also been made on either side of the NH 4.
