Bengaluru: A day after Bengaluru police nabbed a six-member gang, alleged to be Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) activists, in connection with their alleged plan to kill Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya during the December 22 pro-CAA rally near Town Hall, former chief minister Siddramaiah has urged the state government to investigate the matter without any bias and arrest the guilty.
Taking to twitter Siddramaiah said, “I strongly condemn the alleged act of SDPI workers to target pro CAA-NRC leaders. I urge govt to investigate without any bias & arrest the guilty. Acts of extremism should always be curtailed irrespective of the groups they are identified with.”
“Alleged SDPI incident should not be the reason to target &stop anti-CAA protests. As Gandhiji said, An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind. The protestors should follow Gandhiji’s Satyagraha &Ahimsa principles. Our fight against CAA shall be continued till it’s revoked,” he added.
