Bengaluru: Opposition leader Siddaramaiah was heckled and attempted to be picketed by a group of angry residents while he was on the tour of his Badami constituency on Tuesday.

Siddaramaiah has been touring his constituency since July 12.

In the two days, he inspected works on the Mini Vidhan Soudha, distributed ration kits to construction workers and tablet computers to college students.

On Tuesday, when he arrived at the Parvati Ganjkere area to inspect the rejuvenation of the tanks there, a small group of residents surrounded him, shouted slogans against him and threatened to picket him over some previous issues not attended by him.

The former chief minister was then saved by police officials who spread around him and safely escorted him to his vehicle.
