Sindhanur: In a bike-tipper collision at Sasalmari Camp, two persons who were on the bike died on spot, here on Sunday.
The deceased are identified as Mudiyappa (45) and Huligeppa (64).
Reportedly, even after locals informed the police about the incident immediately, they are said to have reached the spot two hours after the incident. Enraged by this, the locals began sloganeering against the police. They were seen engaged in a verbal spat with PSI Soumya Hiremath.
Meanwhile, they have also urged the railway officials to reach the spot and assess the situation, as the tipper that had collided with the motorcycle was deputed for railway work.
A case has been registered at the Sindhanur Police Station.
