Single window system for building plan, layout plan from Dec 15th: Khader

Mangaluru: In order to simplify and quicken the acceptance of the building plans and layout plans, the urban development department has create a single window system and the Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy and Deputy Chief Minister Dr G Parameshwar will inaugurate the system from Bengaluru on December 15th, said U T Khader, cabinet minister for urban development and housing at a press conference.

How to apply?

The applicants must apply online for the acceptance of their building plan or layout plan. If the application is proper, it will get accepted immediately, or else it will be rejected. It needs to be rectified and re-submitted. Within a week of its acceptance, the application will be sent online to all the departments in connection with the no objection certificate. They will insect it and will answer within a week. A date and time will be fixed for all the department together for the inspection of the location and same will be sent via a cellphone message.  On the fixed day, the officials will visit the location and conduct inspection. They need to send the date and time from the location itself through the cellphone. This will get documented in the computer of the single window system, explained the minister.

If the NOC is provided within a week, it will be considered that there is no objection and in connection to this, for any issue arising in the future, the particular department will be held liable. With all the processes completed, the acceptance letter will be provided within a month, informed Khader.

30×40 site

NOC is not required for the construction of houses in 30×40 sites; one need apply online with necessary documents and avail the acceptance. The submission of 9/11 letter or the acceptance letter under the single window system is not necessary for giving the RTC to those getting document to ownership under 94 C/CC. The revenue department will have created the map will providing the document of ownership. Therefore the officials must provide the RTC immediately, he said.

If he is really concerned, let him speak in the parliament. The state government is constructing a 2 bedroom house for all the victims at the cost of Rs 9.5 lakh. For the damage suffered in the 8 districts, the state government has requested and assistance of Rs 2,000 crore. But the central government only gave a mere Rs 546 crore.

Toll free number for sand complaints

Sand mining has been started by those who have received permission in CRZ areas. If people face problem in obtaining sand here, a toll free number will be established at the deputy commissioner’s office. Since it will take a little time to implement this, for now a cellphone number will be published. The process of deciding the price on sand will be conducted soon, informed Khader.

The Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) will conduct the tender process regarding the removal of sand amassed at Thumbay vented dam, he added.
