Sirsi: Five persons who had gone swimming in the Sahasralinga stream here went missing on Sunday.
The missing have been identified as Maulana Muhammad Saleem Khalil Rehman (44) of Ramanabail, Nadia Noor Ahmed Sheikh (20) of Ramanabail, Noor Ahmed Sheikh (22) and Umar Siddique and Misba Tabasum (21) of Kasturba city.
A search and rescue operation is underway. More details are awaited.
