Hubballi: The bandh at Hubballi-Dharwad called by Dalits’ welfare organistations has hit the normal life today.
The organisation had called in for a bandh to protest against the rape of dalit girl in Vijaypura, Union Minister Anant Kumar Hegde’s statement on constitution and the Bhima-Koregaon incident in Maharashtra.
Earlier the protesters burnt tyres at several places in the twin cities. The protestors also hurled stones on the vehicles and the control room at the Old bus stand.
However, commercial stores, schools and colleges remained closed today.
