Six cattle thieves arrested from near Udoor junction

Byndoor: Acting on a tip-off, Byndoor police arrested six cattle thieves from near Udoor junction at Shirur Toodalli junction on Sunday, August 11.

The arrested have been identified as Muhammed Mubeen (29), Yunus Mugudi (29), Muhammed Arafat (25), Maulana Qasim (29), Shabaz Muhammed Haneef (22) and Sheikh Muhammed Altaf (30).

The police confiscated the Tavera vehicle used by the accused and seized lethal weapons rope, club, saber found in their possession. Upon questioning the accused revealed that they were looking to steal stray cattle from the roadside.

A case stands registered at Byndoor police station and an investigation is ongoing.
