Six cops rewarded for nabbing murder accused

Mangaluru: The ADGP lauded six police personnel in nabbing the culprits behind Deepak Rao murder case.

The department has handed over a total cash reward of Rs 1.2 lakhs to the six policemen in appreciation of their swift move in trapping the accused.

PSI Sheethal, ASI Chandrashekhar, Jeep driver Hussain, CCB Inspector Shantharam, Panambur Inspector Rafique and Home Guard Harish are the rewardees.

The ADGP has further said that the case would be investigated as the department has formed two teams to look into the cases, one team will probe into Deepak’s case while the other team will look into two stabbing cases reported from Suratkal and Kottara Chowki.

 City Police Commissioner T R Suresh said that so far there is no information as to whether the accused had links with any other organisation.

SP Sudheer Kumar Reddy, former city police commissioner Chandra Sekhar was also present.
