Six succumb to Covid-19 in Dakshina Kannada; death toll at 36

Mangaluru: The coronavirus-related fatality in Dakshina Kannada has been increasing daily with six more deaths recorded today. With this 36 deaths have occurred in the district.
A 67-year-old male from Ullal, 35-year-old man from Hossabettu, 65-year-old Falnir resident and a 58-year-old female from Thokkottu succumbed to the infection at the Wenlock Hospital here today. Two other persons died at private hospitals in the city. Their details are yet to be known.
As on July 9 the district had 1,709 confirmed coronavirus cases of which 702 patients were discharged after recovery and 977 cases are active.
