Six-year-old Kerala boy dies after being forgotten on Dubai bus

Dubai: A six-year-old Indian boy breathed his last after he was forgotten inside a bus for nearly nine hours in Dubai, the media reported on Sunday.

The boy has been identified as Mohamed Farhan Faisal from Kerala, was a student at an Islamic centre in Al Quoz.

As per media reports, the boy fell asleep after boarding the bus from Karama. While all other students disembarked from the bus outside the centre at 8am on Saturday, Mohamed Farhan was left alone in the bus for nearly nine hours after the driver locked the doors without checking if there was anyone inside.

His body was found at 3 pm when the driver took the bus out to drop the students back home, said Dubai police. The actual cause of death is yet to be determined.

Dubai police said that the driver and bus supervisor are being questioned over negligence.
