Mangaluru is set to elevate its beach tourism experience with the introduction of a unique dining experience called “Sky Dining” at Panambur Beach. The initiative is spearheaded by the Kadali Beach Tourism Organization, aimed at offering visitors a breathtaking view of the coastal city while enjoying a meal 120 feet above the ground.

Scheduled to debut in the first week of May, Sky Dining promises an unparalleled adventure for tourists. The concept involves a specially constructed crane that lifts a glass-like transparent cabin, accommodating up to 16 people at a time, providing a bird’s-eye view of Mangaluru city on one side and the vast sea on the other.

Lakshmish Bhandary, head of the Kadali Beach Tourism Organization, emphasized the importance of safety in the project, stating, “Safety is given high priority here, and construction is being done according to international standards.” Permission has been obtained from the district administration and tourism department for adventure sports, water activities, and dining facilities, ensuring a seamless experience for visitors.

Manikya, Assistant Director of the Tourism Department, highlighted the novelty of Sky Dining, stating, “Sky dining is a new concept.” The project aims to enhance the attractiveness of Panambur Beach and complement other ongoing initiatives to boost tourism in the region.

Sky Dining offers a unique dining experience, with arrangements for meals and snacks amidst panoramic views. The cabin is equipped with tables and chairs, providing a comfortable setting for guests to savor their food while suspended high above the ground. Additionally, safety measures including safety belts for guests and separate cabins for waiters and technical staff have been implemented.

The initiative has already garnered anticipation among tourists. The price will be decided soon based on a selected menu. With its blend of adventure and gastronomy, Sky Dining promises to be a must-visit attraction for those seeking a memorable experience in Mangalore.
