Smart City Project works must be executed quickly without creating problems for the public: DC

Mangaluru: Deputy commissioner (DC) of Dakshina Kannada district, Dr Rajendra K V, has instructed the concerned officials to undertake  Smart City Project works quickly without creating problems for the public.

Speaking after  presiding over a preliminary meeting about the resumption of Smart City Projects, Rajendra KV said, ” High Court has given permission to resume Smart city project works in the city. The work must be completed within the stipulated time. Among the 31 works taken up, those which have covered 90 percent work, have to be completed immediately. Rest should be completed before the monsoon season begins”

“The  Smart City works have created inconveniences for the general public. Henceforth, Traffic diversions etc should be done with police involvement and raw materials must also be stocked properly. If  the contractors suspend works, the district administration should be informed,” he added
