Snakebite Kills Three Members of Same Family in Chitradurga

Hiriyur: In a strange incident, three members of same family died following suspected snake bite at Hiriyur in Chitradurga district on Monday. Three year old girl, Keerthana admitted to a local hospital during morning hours on July 10 after she fell ill. However, the girl died soon after she admitted into the hospital. Her mother also lost her life soon after the death of her child in the hospital. Meanwhile, grandfather of Keerthana was lost his life  after he fell sick following unknown reason on Monday late night at his residence.

The physician who examined the dead bodies suspected that the trio may have died following snake bite. Based on the statement from the doctor, the villagers searched the residence of the deceased and found a poisons snake.
