Snapchat recently launched new features such as astrology and friendship compatibility tests. The astrological features aim to help users stay better connected with their friends on the mobile. Snapchat users can create an astrological profile and check astrological compatibility with their friends.
Merriam-Webster dictionary defines astrology as “the divination of the supposed influences of the stars and planets on human affairs and terrestrial events by their positions and aspects” which means that its a practice of analyzing people’s personalities based on the position of the stars at the time of their birth. Snapchat has partnered with Cosmopolitan U.S’s astrologer, Aurora Tower, to provide chart readings to Snapchatters.
The Astrological Profile is a series of Snaps that cover the ten different planets i.e. Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, Pluto, Uranus.
How does this work?
Users must know the date and time of birth. To access one’s astrological profile. Go to Profile and tap on the astrological sign next to your name. Once you are done doing that, enter your birthday, time of birth and place of birth.
Friendship Compatibility test
Snapchatters can now use astrological predictions to check compatibility with their friends. It contains a series of snaps that cover five aspects such as attraction, intensity, tension, support and harmony. This new feature offers snapchatters to post the snaps on stories as well as send it to friends and save to the camera roll.
The Astrological Compatibility can be only viewed if the other person has opted in for their Astrological profile on Snapchat. The new features are available globally on Android and iOS user in English.
