Snehalaya Charitable Trust commemorates its 14th anniversary

Manjeswaram: In an observance suffused with profound meaning, Snehalaya Charitable Trust commemorated its 14th anniversary, an occasion that signifies over a decade of dedicated service imbued with compassion and its consequential effects.

The institution, founded upon the principles of empathy and altruism, has emerged as a beacon of hope, catering to the underprivileged and effecting significant transformations in myriad lives over the course of its existence.

The ceremonial events commenced amid a gathering of eminence at the recently erected Grotto of St. Devasahayam Pillai. This sacred sanctuary was graced by the benedictions and formal consecration offered by the venerable Rev. Fr. Basil Vas, who holds the esteemed role of Parish Priest at the Sacred Hearts Church in Vorkady.

Additionally, the occasion garnered the presence of significant personalities, notably among them being Rev. Fr. Archibald Gonsalves OCD, distinguished luminary serving as the Assistant Provincial of the Karnataka & Goa Province. Among those lending further significance to the event were the revered Founder Br Joseph Crasta and the other esteemed trustees of Snehalaya.

Subsequent to the blessing, a Solemn Thanksgiving Mass proceeded, presided over by Rev Fr Archibald OCD and co-officiated by Rev Fr. Edwin Pinto, the Parish Priest of Manjeshwar Church, Fr Basi Vas, the Parish Priest of Vorkady Church, and Fr Cyril D’ Souza, the Chaplain of Snehalaya.

Following the culmination of the Mass, Br Joseph Crasta, the Founder of Snehalaya, delivered a touching expression of gratitude. This he conveyed through the presentation of tokens of appreciation in the form of mementos and bouquets to the officiating clergy. Furthermore, he extended his heartfelt appreciation to the distinguished assembly, the esteemed benefactors, and the cherished well-wishers. Notably, he also acknowledged the outstanding efforts of Mr. Marko Stanly Fernandes, who had earned the distinction of being recognized as the Best Staff of the Year.

In a climactic culmination of the event, a lavish meal was extended to all attendees, thereby marking the pinnacle of the festivities. The recipients, partaking in this sumptuous feast, conveyed their heartfelt gratitude to Br Joseph Crasta, thereby underscoring the intensity of the occasion.
