Exploring the dynamic heart of India on motorcycles, either solo or in groups, has been popular recently. Meanwhile, Asha Mehendala, a solo female biker from Belthangady, rode 1,900km in four days on her Royal Enfield Thunder Bird-359 bike.

She also aims to prove that India is safe for female travelers.

Asha left her abode in Soolabettu on April 15 on her solo adventure to Tamil Nadu. She arrived in Tamil Nadu on April 16, where she visited various temples such as Madhurai Meenakshi temple and Rameshwaram temple. Traveling via Pambam bridge she reached Dhanushkodi village on April 17.

She later visited the Kodandarama temple there and other tourist attractions. On April 18, Asha returned home via Mysuru.

Asha who is a village accountant by profession is also a part of the Mangaluru-based group called, Bikerni. Asha has previously traveled to 20,000kms tourist places in Karnataka with the group. On the basis of her prior travel experience with Bikerni, she set on this solo journey.
