Sonia Gandhi meets Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina

In a significant diplomatic engagement, Congress Parliamentary Party chairperson Sonia Gandhi met with Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday in New Delhi. Accompanied by her son Rahul Gandhi and daughter Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, the Gandhis discussed numerous issues aimed at fortifying the India-Bangladesh relationship.

The meeting, as announced by Congress on social media platform ‘X’, featured discussions to deepen the trust, cooperation, and mutual growth shared by the two nations. Rahul Gandhi reiterated this sentiment, sharing a video of the dialogue on his WhatsApp channel.

Prime Minister Hasina, who arrived on Saturday to attend Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s swearing-in ceremony, was seen warmly embracing Sonia Gandhi. The Gandhi family and Hasina’s family share a deep and enduring bond, further highlighted by this meeting.
