Following her conviction on July 17, Punjaban tried to end her life in jail and was rushed to a hospital and is said to have recovered now.
Her accomplice Sandeep Bedwal has also been sentenced to 20 years in prison for kidnapping and raping the minor girl.
The victim had been kidnapped by Bedwal in the year 2009 and he sold her to a pimp named Seema after raping the minor. She was later resold to Punjaban who gave her a makeover and taught her basic English to impress her clients which included high profile businessmen as well.
