Sowing seeds of connection: Manipal Hospitals Malleshwaram’s special tree planting activity on Independence Day

In a heartwarming initiative that celebrates decades of trust and community spirit, Manipal Hospitals Malleshwaram hosted a special Tree Plantation Program on August 15th, from 7.30 am onwards at the BBMP Park, near the hospital opposite the railway station. This event, organized under the hospital’s Neighborhood Connect program, aimed to bring together senior citizens who have been loyal patrons of the hospital since its inception. Esteemed Sandalwood actor Nagabhushana N S as well as Dr. Shankar V, Consultant – Internal Medicine, Manipal Hospitals Malleshwaram graced the event as Chief Guests.

Over 25 esteemed senior citizens planted saplings, each bearing their name, in a gesture symbolizing the enduring bond between the hospital and its community. The event not only highlighted the hospital’s deep-rooted connection with its patients but also underscored its commitment to environmental conservation.

Dr. Shankar V, Consultant – Internal Medicine, Manipal Hospitals Malleshwaram said, ”Manipal Hospital Malleshwaram has been pre-emptive in its efforts toward the care of the geriatric population for decades, giving them the freedom to good health at a trustworthy healthcare facility.” Actor Mr. Nagabhushana N S said this unique activity to be a path to good health and a closer connection to a green future. He stated, ”This Independence Day, let us cherish the bond of trust and togetherness, as we nurture both health and nature.” The day concluded with a breakfast, fostering the bond between humans and nature.
