Speaker Kageri chairs officer’s meeting prior to Belagavi Winter Session

Belagavi: As the Winter Session of the Karnataka Assembly will be held from December 19 to 30, Karnataka Legislative Assembly Speaker Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri chaired a meeting with the officials at Suvarna Soudha, here on Monday, December 12.

In the meeting, he directed the officials to make sure that all necessary arrangements are made and that the House functions smoothly and systematically.

“During the session, all the legislators, ministers, bureaucrats including the chief minister will be here. Hence, the quality of food, stay, etc, shall be maintained. Doctors and the medical team shall be deployed along with the ambulance facility”, he said.

“Towards maintaining law and order, necessary steps must be taken”, said Kageri to Belagavi Police Commissioner.

“If there are any technical difficulties, during the session, concerned officials must report to their hierarchy to resolve the issue”, he said.

Speaking about the arrangement, Belagavi Deputy Commissioner Nitesh Patil said, “for each legislator and minister, communication officers have been deployed. In 16 places, dedicated medical teams have been deployed to provide quality medical facilities.”

Belagavi Compol M B Boralingaiah briefed on necessary arrangements being made towards law and order situation and parking facilities.

Several officers were present during the meeting.
