Speeding car mows down 12-yr-old boy in Mudipu

Mudipu: In a shocking incident, a 12-year-old boy died on the spot, after being hit by a rashly driven car in Mudipu on Tuesday, December 27.

The deceased has been identified as Karthik (12), son of Harishchandra-Arunakshi,  residents of Boliyaru Bhatrabailu.

The incident occurred when Karthik was on his way home from school. He was standing by the road when the car trying to overtake a stationary bus hit him and he died on the spot.

The car also rammed into an auto-rickshaw and the barricades before hitting the boy.

Locals urged the authorities to install speed breakers on the road to reduce vehicle speed and make neighborhoods safer.
