Sri Krishna Matha: Work continues for global awareness on Bhagavad Gita: Puthige Sri

Udupi: “The presence of Sri Krishna resonates in the Bhagavad Gita. Several programs are being organized at Sri Krishna Matha to spread awareness of the Gita on a global level. Through this, even common people understand the profound messages of the Gita,” said Paryaya Sri Puthige Matha Seer Sri Sugunendra Thirtha Swamiji.

The seer delivered his blessings during the grand conclusion of the Gita Utsav held on Sunday at Paryaya Sri Krishna Matha.

He stated that everyone is realizing the impact of the Bhagavad Gita. From scholars to ordinary people, including foreigners and individuals from other religions, millions have participated in the Gita program, which is testimony to its universal relevance.

Sri Krishna provided guidance and messages through the Gita for the welfare of the world. These messages are pertinent to every individual across the globe. The principles of the Gita serve as the ultimate resolution, he added.

Bhagavad Gita and Judicial Necessity

Retired Karnataka High Court Chief Justice Dinesh P. S. emphasized that the executive the Bhagavad Gita and the judiciary share significant relevance. In contemporary times, legal proceedings and related matters adhere to the Constitution. The Gita, being a part of the Mahabharata, holds philosophical ideals that can awaken people’s potential.

Dr. M. N. Dayakar from Ujire and Hari Balakrishna Jani from Pune were honored with the “Sri Krishna Anugraha” award by the Paryaya Sri.

The Puthige Sri also released the Vishvavasu Naama Samvatsara 2025 Paryaya Panchanga. Present on the occasion were Junior Seer of Sri Puthige Matha Sri Sushrindra Thirtha Swamiji, MLAs Yashpal A. Suvarna and Gurme Suresh Shetty, and businessmen Purushottam Shetty and Manohar Shetty, among other dignitaries.
