Chikkamagalur: The connectivity between Sringeri and Agumbe has been affected after the road near Neralakodi in Sringeri was damaged due to the heavy rains.

A side portion of the road has caved in, creating a 100 feet deep trench. Traffic has been prohibited on this route.

The heavy downpour has created hassles for locals to reach their destination as the roads have been damaged or are blocked due to landslides.

The coastal districts of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi have been witnessing incessant rainfall for the past few days, flooding low-lying areas and affecting normal life.
