Sringeri-Karkala route blocked after Nemmar road collapsed due to landslide

Chikmagalur: The road near Nemmar Salumara on National Highway 169 was damaged due to landslide after Tungabadra floods and the road between Karkala – Sringeri has been temporarily blocked.

The travelers who are commuting from Karkala to Sringeri have been informed to travel via Agumbe or Kudremukh

Heavy rains have caused severe damage in the taluk and further reports are coming up in rural areas. The Officials and representatives visited the areas of landslides and monitored the situation.

The rainfall in the Taluk is less on Monday and flood of Tungabadra is reduced.
