The current pontiff Sri Vishwaprasannatheertha Sripada has received an invitation in this regard.

In 2020, the central government had announced the second-highest Indian civilian award to the late pontiff in recognition of his extraordinary service in the religious and social fields. But the award ceremony was delayed due to the Covid pandemic.

In Delhi, the pontiff will also attend the meeting of Ayodhya Ram Janmabhoomi Thithakshethra Trust, souces said.
