SSLC and PUC examination postponed further due to Covid-19 lockdown

Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) has decided to postpone the SSLC and the last paper for II PUC examination again due to the nationwide lockdown.
The SSLC and PUC examinations have been postponed to May from April.
State education minister S. Suresh Kumar on Thursday, said “Board exams for the secondary school leaving certificate (SSLC) and the pre-university course (PUC) have been postponed to May from April, as the lockdown is likely to continue till this month-end to contain the coronavirus spread”
“We will announce the new exam schedule one week before the commencement so as to give enough time to prepare, as they have been postponed again due to unusual situation arising out of the pandemic crisis,” he added.
Earlier, The SSLC exams were already postponed to April 20 from March 27 to April 9 after the enforcement of nationwide lockdown on March 25 and the state education department had said that the decision regarding conducting the SSLC and PUC annual examinations will be made on April 14.
Around 8 lakh students have registered to appear for the SSLC board exams, and for the first time in many years the examination has been postponed.
