SSLC examinations: Prohibitory orders around exam centers

Udupi / Mangaluru: In view of the annual SSLC examinations that are to be held from March 31 to April 15, Deputy Commissioners of Udupi and Dakshina Kannada have issued prohibitory orders within a 200-meter radius of examination centers in the district.
The restrictions have been put in place in order to prevent illegal activities and untoward incidents from happening during the examinations and to conduct the examinations smoothly and flawlessly
SSLC examinations will be conducted in 55 centers in Udupi and 98 centers in D.K. A total of 13,753 students including 7,185 boys and 6,568 girls will write the exam in the Udupi district whereas 29,572 students from 523 schools in Dakshina Kannada will appear for the exam.
Students and officials on duty are prohibited from carrying any kind of electronic items at the examination centers.
Free travel
Students appearing for the SSLC examinations can travel for free transportation on KSRTC buses to reach the examination centers. They will have to show the examination admit cards to avail of this facility.
