Bengaluru: Education Minister Suresh Kumar on Monday, May 17 clarified that the government has not taken any decision on canceling the second PUC and Secondary School Leaving Certificate examinations.

“We have not decided to cancel the examinations of second PUC and SSLC exams, I request the student to continue preparing for their exams,” he added.

The state education minister has assured that the revised date will be announced much ahead of its schedule.

Suresh’s comments came after few news reports stated that the Karnataka education department has canceled the second PUC and SSLC exams due to the rise in the number of COVID-19 cases in the state.

It may be recalled that the Karnataka government had earlier decided to postpone the SSLC for Class 10 Board Exam 2021 students.

The Karnataka SSLC Class 10 Board Exam 2021 was scheduled to begin on June 21, 2021.
