Mangaluru: In yet another case of goof-up in the evaluation of marks, a student of Badriya Educational Institution here was given 22 marks in Kannada paper while the actual marks scored by her was 114.
The student who was expecting good marks was shocked to see that she had failed the exam. She even had to be admitted to the hospital for the mental trauma she underwent.
Later when they applied for a photocopy of answer sheet, it was realised that the marks given to her was infact the count of the supplementary pages used by her to write the exam.
Notably this is not the first such incident. A student who had applied for revaluation in Science paper had passed with 36 marks, but in her case too the result mentioned was 17, the pages used by her for writing the paper.
