SSLC student, third from Udupi dist tests positive for Covid-19

Byndoor: In the third case of coronavirus infection among SSLC student in Udupi district, a girl student tested positive for the virus on Tuesday June 30 evening.

The student from Uppunda is said to have developed severe backache on Saturday evening and thus the family informed the school principal.

Swab samples of the girl were sent for testing on Monday and the result confirmed the infection.

The girl appeared for the examinations till Saturday at the Byndoor centre. While the source of infection is to be traced, it is suspected that she might have contracted the virus from people from Maharashtra who were residing in her neighbourhood a few days ago.
