Stabbing victim responding to treatment

Mangaluru: MBA student Deeksha, who was stabbed over 12 times by a youth at Bagambila near Derlakatte last Friday is responding to the treatment.

According to sources, her health condition is reported to be normal and no serious complications were found during the CT scan, A blood clot near her kidney is being removed, they added

Meanwhile the youth Sushanth who had attempted to kill self after stabbing Deeksha is recovering and is likely to be produced before the court in the next few days. He is likely to be referred to the psychiatry ward once he recovers.

It may be recalled that a nurse who was present at the spot at the time of the brutal assault had rushed to Deeksha’s rescue despite Sushanth’s threat of attacking anyone who came nearby. The nurse was felicitated by the Nitte University in recognition of her act.
