Start-Up owner offers job to matrimonial match sent by father
PTI, May 2, 2022, 9:48 AM IST
Every parent desires to locate their children the ideal life companion. When their children reach marriageable age, some people strive to do so by informing all of their relatives, while others use a matrimonial service.
What happened recently, though, when a father emailed a potential groom’s profile to his daughter, sent the internet into a frenzy. The daughter’s usage of the matrimonial site was the most amusing and innovative.
So, what did Udita Pal, the co-founder of Salt, a finance platform that allows international transactions do? Ms Pal tried to hire the man whose resume her father had sent her. That’s right, you read that correctly.
Ms Pal went on to post a screenshot of her father’s response when he found out what she had done.
She captioned the tweet, “What getting disowned from father looks like.”

She followed up with some “updated news” in a following tweet. She said that the individual had requested a salary of 62 lakhs per year, as well as ESOPs, which her company could not afford. Her father, she said, had erased her matrimonial profile.

I have done this on Bumble so many times. Evaluating for Hiring & dating some how is very similar… Infact, I have pitched to founders/leaders who tried to poach me too.. called it P2P channel (Poach to pitch) of lead generation 🙈🤣. But, I feel you @i_Udita 🙌🏻 https://t.co/aX1VNu7oBD

I am interested in "how did you start?"
If I would have been in his place "may be professionally you can't afford me but personally I am all yours"😂😂
