State Government’s Vidyagama scheme to get clearance for re-introduction

Bengaluru: State government’s ‘Vidyagama’ Scheme, a concept aimed at taking Schools to the doorsteps of children at villages in the absence of physical classes will get clearance for re-introduction on Monday, December 14

It is said that the high court had given 10 days for the government to look into the issue. Government took steps to collect opinions from all the district deputy directors and teachers and the general opinion of Vidyagama scheme was positive

As per the scheme, the teachers ask the children to gather in batches of 10 to 15 at a spacious place located in the vicinity of their stay. All the children are asked to wear face masks, undergo thermal screening and maintain physical distancing among them.

The classes will be held on a shift basis. Classes for fifth standard students will held on Mondays and Tuesdays, for sixth standard, Wednesdays and Thursdays and for seventh standard Fridays and Saturdays
