JD(S) leader H D Kumaraswamy on Saturday urged the state government to deal with black fungus disease responsibly and help in control the epidemic.
The former Chief Minister in a series of tweets warned that there is a danger of Karnataka witnessing a higher number of black fungus infections as according to experts those recovered from COVID are getting infected by the disease.
He further said, “State government is depending on Central for the supply of medicines for Black fungus while other states are buying from private firms. BJP government does not care about the people of Karnataka.”
“Experts claim that 400 people will be infected with black fungus every week in the coming days. The disease should be treated within the first 2 days and government must make necessary arrangements,” he added
HDK said,” Karnataka is facing stepmotherly treatment from the Centre. For example, in Karnataka, 1.90 liters of oxygen is available for each Covid-19 patient but in Gujarat, each Covid-19 patient is receiving 10.95 liters of oxygen. Let the BJP government of the state make its own decisions and find alternative sources for medicine.”
