Bengaluru: Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa on Fridat, May 22 informed that the state government would bear the travel expenditure of migrant workers and stranded persons to their respective States by Shramik special trains up to May 31.
Since few migrants labourers were unable to bear the travel expenditure, the government has decided to support them and will bear the travel cost of those returning to their home states in Shramik special trains till May 31.
“Government considers migrant workers, who have come from far flung parts of our country, as our own people and it is my firm belief that they too must be supported by the State,” tweeted the chief minister.
