State Govt to deploy Anti Naxal Force in backward villages: Home Minister

Mangaluru: The state government is planing to deploy Anti Naxal Force (ANF) in backward rural areas where there is suspicious naxal activity, said Karnataka State Home Minister Dr G Parameshwara in a meeting held at Karkala guest house here in the town on Friday.
The state government is planning to deploy the force in backward rural areas where there is high probability for naxals to function than semi urban, rural areas. The state government will also improve the the facilities provided to ANF, he said answering to the question by journalists. Former Karkala MLA Gopala Bhandary, Congress leader Sudhakara Kotian and others were present in the meeting.
