State-level convention of Congress to be held in Mangaluru on Feb 17

State-level convention of the Congress party will be held in Sahyadri College grounds in Adyar, Mangaluru on February 17 to prepare ground for the coming Lok Sabha elections. The convention is set to commence at 2 p.m
In a press conference, District Congress President Harish Kumar said that AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge, CM Siddaramaiah, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar and other national leaders are expected to attend the convention.
In anticipation of the successful event, seven committees have already been formed. DK District in-charge Minister Dinesh Gundurao along with other district officials, are holding a series of meetings to ensure the success of the program.
On February 11, Salim Ahmed, under the leadership of former Minister B. Ramanath Rai, will be gathering party workers.
The district Congress former president, Ibrahim Kodijal, Navin D’Souza, prominent leaders Manoraj Rajeev, Neeraj Paul, Shubhoday Alva, T.K. Sudhir, Lawrence D’Souza, Purnesh Bhandari, and Ganesh Pujari were present.
