State’s water to be enriched through ‘Kere Sanjivini’: HDK

Dharmasthala: Kere Sanjivini plan MOU signed, four-lane road inaugurated

Dharmasthala: The village development plan initiated on the occasion of the first Mahamastakabhisheka of Bahubali monolith at Dharmasthala has become a light in the lives of lakhs of farmers.   This year, theough the Kere Sanjivini plan the state of Karnataka will become a water rich state, said chief minister H D Kumaraswamy.

The CM was speaking after signing the Kere Sanjivini memorandum of understanding with the cooperation of Dharmasthala and inaugurating the four-lane road in the backdrop of the Mahamastakabhisheka of Bahubali at Dharmasthala.

The aim of the state government is to develop all the lakes in the state. Protection of farmers is our aim. The fear that there is no water for cultivation should go away. With this aim the government and Dharmasthala have made a resolution to develop the lakes, he informed.

Dr D Veerendra Heggade has empowered women financially through his action to build the society. The people are devoid of bad habits. The farmers are happily indulging in farming said the CM and appreciated Dharmasthala’s cooperation with the government for the all round development of the land through associations, human resource development, agriculture programme, development funds, people’s awareness and education.

Pejawar Seer Sri Vishvateertha Swami inaugurated the programme and provided blessings.

Dr Heggade who presided the programme said that the state budget was good  and care must be taken for its full implementation. While organizing any religious programme at Dharmasthala we have also organised people oriented programmes. Accordingly, this time it will be the Kere Sanjivini plan on the occasion of the Mahamastakabhisheka, he said.

Speaking on the occasion union minister D V Sadananda Gowda said, “Similar to the plans of the government, Dharamasthala too is conducting various socially oriented and village development programmes. Government too is implementing the model works of Dharmasthala. It is a gig action by Dharmasthala to come forward to develop lakes. Due to this, it I like Nandi singing for the resolution of a green Karnataka,” he said.

Development programmes initiated

As the first phase of the Kere Sanjivini plan, it has been aimed to develop 34 lakes out of the 93 lakes. For the implementation of this, 10 district lake committees have been created who will be given do Rs 1 lakh respectively from a total grant of Rs 10 lakh by the government to manage expenses. Of the grant to be provided by the government, Rs 88 lakh was handed over to Dr Heggade as part of the first installment.

The CM inaugurated the starting phase of the four-lane road constructed from Netravati bathing ghat to Dharmasthala. A postal envelope and a memorial issue was alos released on the occasion of the Mahamastakabhisheka.

Bharat Ratna for Dr Heggade: Pejawar Seer

Addressing the gathered on the occasion Pejawar seer said, “We should agree that the Mahamastakabhisheka of Bhagvan Sri Bahubali occurring at Dharmasthala is like the knowledge anointing of all the people. Mahamastakabhisheka is the anointing of knowledge and awakening of devotion. The adoration of god and of the people through various programmes is truly appreciable. Dr Heggade is eligible for Bharat Ratna,” he said appreciatively.

Perjawar Seer appreciates the budget

The arrival of CM was delayed by 2 hours and the stage programme was started only after his arrival. Pejawar Seer left the stage after giving blessing for some time. A little time later the Cm arrived and the Seer got news of it and returned back to the stage. Welcoming Kumaraswamy the Seer appreciated the budget calling it a good budget which is oriented for the farmers and the poor in the state.

HDK regrets Ane oath!

In the middle of his speech, Cm Kumaraswamy remembered the Ane oath incident and regretted about it in front of Dr Heggade. “12 years back during the occasion of the Mastakabhisheka, I was the chief minister. Later, during some occasion, for political reasons and without knowledge I had committed a mistake by naming Dharmasthala If a sacrilege is committed against Manjunath Swami, the Swami leaves no one and has not left anyone. Manjunath swami looks at everyone from comman prople to anyone at the top position. Therefore none of us should play games in his name,” said the CM speaking of the oath issue.
