Stones pelted at Hotel Shivbagh during Bharath Bandh, one arrested

Mangaluru: The Kadri police, on Tuesday arrested one person accused of pelting stones at Hotel Shivbagh in Kadri area during the Bharat bandh protest. 

Katipalla resident Amar Soans,28, is the arrested. The police have also identified another person, allegedly a Congress party worker and are on the look-out for him.

On Monday, September 10 the Congress-led opposition had called for Bharath bandh to protest rising fuel prices in the nation. Amar and the other accused had pelted stones at the hotel in the morning hours injuring one of the employees at the hotel.

A case was registered with Kadri police station in this regards.
