Bengaluru: A day after Union Minister DV Sadananda Gowda and Yuva brigade founder Chakravarti Sulibele engaged in bitter Twitter spat over the delay in release of flood relief for Karnataka, ‘StopUrArroganceDVS’ , and #IamWithChakravarthySulibele hashtags started trending on Twitter.

Following the war of words, Sulibele in a tweet noted that the union minister had blocked him on Twitter. However, Sadananda Gowda claimed that he did not block him but the same was due to the global outage Twitter faced on Wednesday.

Meanwhile their fight evoked outrage among netizens who expressed their solidarity for Sulibele and also attacked the Modi government, using #NotFairModiji, for its indifference towards Karnataka.

“Dear @narendramodi ji, Your cabinet colleague @DVSadanandGowda called @astitvam Anna, a Deshadrohi for asking flood relief fund. #StopUrArroganceDVS #NotFairModiji #IamWithChakravarthySulibele,” stated aTwitter user.

“Dear @narendramodi ji, Take stringent action against @DVSadanandaGowda for his arrogant statement to the people of Karnataka. We have asked for aid, where many of the people are suffering after massive flood. We are not asking anybody’s asset. #NotFairModiji #StopUrArroganceDVS,” reads the tweet by another.

Amid growing criticism against the delay in release of central funds for flood relief, Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa on Wednesday said it would be released in a couple of days as Prime Minister Narendra Modi was aware of the situation.
