Stormy rains wreak havoc in Chikmagalur

Chikmagalur: Heavy rain pounded in the parts of the district and many trees have fallen in Hang Post, Anajuru and Muttigepura.
The electric poles in Moodigere Taluk have fallen over roads and the normal life is completely disrupted due to the story rain in the district.
The water level in Bhadra River has increased due to the heavy rainfall in the past few days and a portion of Hebbala Bridge has been submerged with the river near Kalasa in Moodigere Taluk on Tuesday.
Few Wooden dunes have covered the bridge disrupting the traffic.
It is learned that If the water level rises, the entire bridge will be submerged with the river and it will block the Kalasa-Horanadu route.
