Strong winds, rain: Precaution

Kasaragod: In the backdrop of the possibility of strong winds blowing in the night along karavali for some days, the Weather Department has advised to take precaution. The Deputy Director of the Fisheries Department has already forbidden fishermen from venturing into the sea for fishing and has also informed fishermen at high seas to return back to the coast with haste.
He has informed that along with the fear of big waves of 1.5 to 2.2 meters there is also major concern regarding possible sea erosion.
Amidst this, the summer showers accompanied by thunder and lightning may pour down in the state on any day between 2pm in the afternoon to 8pm in the night, warned the State Disaster Management Authority.
