Student washed away in Tunga river

Sringeri (Chikmagalur): A student was washed away here in the Tunga river on Monday morning. The deceased is identified as Tarun.

Tarun, pursuing 9th standard at Priyadarshini High School at Satanur in Kanakapura taluk had come here as a part of his school tour programme. The students had ventured into Tunga river, when the incident took place informed sources

Police rush to the spot and continued their search operation for the body. Sringeri police registered a case with this regard.
